Still Getting Acne At 30? Read This.

Do you remember when you were still in your teens when you were suffering from acne? It was an awkward time and you could not wait for the day until puberty is over so, you can get over your acne problems. That way, you can start meeting other people without feeling embarrassed because of how you look.

Then, you turn 18, even 20, and your acne problem does not seem to go away. In fact, you are starting to think that it has gotten even worse. What happened to the promise of an acne-free life after puberty?

The truth is that you are not alone. There are lots of other people like you who suffer from acne well into their 20s, 30s, and older. And they do not seem to know what is causing their acne problems at their age. There are several possible causes to this and here are some of them:

1.Hormonal imbalances. This cause of acne is common among women, especially when going through their menstrual cycle. Let s just say that a woman s hormones go haywire during this stage, triggering excessive production of sebum. This excess sebum can, then, clog up one s pores, causing acne. Women can seek the advice of their doctor who can prescribe pills to them to normalize their hormone levels and get rid of their acne problem.

This could also happen to expectant mothers. If you are having a baby and you suddenly notice that you are having frequent acne breakouts, then, chances are that it has something to do with what you are going through now. Do not worry, though, because your acne will disappear once you give birth to your child.

2.Stress. Once you are in your 20s and older, you will likely be working already. And, sometimes, work can be quite stressful. You have deadlines to meet, bosses to please, and clients to deal with. It is not easy, of course. Once this goes on for an extended period of time, then, your stress level could also lead to an overproduction of sebum in your body. You already know what will happen next: you will likely have an acne breakout. So, if your problem is stress-related, take the time to relax or even go on a vacation. Your body will thank you for it.

3.Diet. It has since been disproved that chocolates and peanuts could cause acne. However, there are still foods that could make pimples appear if you are not careful. Studies suggest that foods rich in carbohydrates and sugar could contribute to the production of acne on your skin. So, be mindful of what you eat. It is not only to deal with your acne problem, but for the benefit of your overall health as well.

So, do not worry if you still suffer from acne past your puberty. Start with finding out acne solutions and the cause of your acne problem and find an appropriate cure from there. You will, then, be on your way to recovery.
